Patchbay is a three-person repair workshop in Rotterdam. We fix vintage synthesizers — the analogue ones first, then the digital oddities that turn up in equal measure. Oscillators that have gone flat, voice cards that need recapping, keybeds whose contacts have oxidised, encoders that no longer click where they should. Work that other people have given up on tends to end up on our bench. We got into this because none of us could afford to be the person who threw away a Juno-106 over a bad multiplexer chip. So we learned to solder, learned to read service manuals, learned to source parts that stopped being manufactured decades ago. The three of us divide the work between us, and we each handle bench repairs, diagnosis, and the endless sourcing and cleaning that any restoration actually requires. If you have a synth that sounds wrong, smells hot, or simply stopped making noise, get in touch. We will tell you honestly whether it is worth fixing.
Write the opening of the About us page for Patchbay, a three-person studio in Rotterdam that repairs vintage synthesizers. About 150 words.
